Below are 3 photographs of the Spectrum Communications TRC2-10sL transverter. Input is from the Walford Minster above when operating on 10m. This transverter operates TX switching via an RF switch with a front panel TX indicator. The transverter includes a linear amplifier to give about 20 watts output on 2m, this amplier can have its gain varied from a front panel control. On receive there is an rf amplifier whose gain can be altered from the front panel.
This was a straightforward project to build and has given me much needed experience of VHF construction.

The Minster & Transverter
The Walford Minster. I was lucky enough to be asked to be an early builder for the Minster. Also helped, with others, to “prove” the project and help with spotting any typo’s with the documentation.
This was a big project but the performance is good and worth the effort. Also added the 5 digit counter, a much recommended addition. The rig is a 3 band SSB and CW superhet TCVR with agc S meter and TX matching bridge.
